Comr. Aruna Abubakari
Senate Candidate, Edo North Senatorial District
Who Is Abubakari

Comr. Aruna Abubakari began his journey in public service through grassroots community leadership, where he witnessed firsthand the daily challenges facing schools, healthcare facilities, and rural communities across Edo North. Those early experiences continue to shape the values and priorities that define his leadership today.
For nearly two decades, he has served in both community development and public administration, earning respect for his hands-on approach, transparency, and accountability. Known for personally monitoring projects and ensuring public resources are properly utilized, supporters see him as a dependable problem-solver committed to delivering meaningful results rather than empty promises.

Why He Is Running
I have spent eighteen years watching Edo North's problems get named at every election and solved by none of them. This campaign exists because a ward-level plan, monitored and published, is worth more than another manifesto.
Comr. Aruna Abubakari is running because he has stood inside the primary healthcare centres with no nurse, the classroom blocks abandoned mid-construction, and the feeder roads that wash away every rainy season — not as a candidate touring for votes, but as the officer once assigned to fix them.
He is running because the gap between constituency budgets and constituency reality has grown too wide to close from outside government, and because Edo North deserves a senator whose record can be checked, not just believed.
This is a campaign built on the conviction that leadership is measured in boreholes that still run, classrooms that get finished, and ledgers the public can actually read — not in promises made once every four years.
His Core Values
Accountability
Every constituency fund logged and published before it is spent, not after it is questioned.
Service Over Status
Public office is a duty to be discharged in the ward, not a title to be held in the capital.
Integrity
Contracts and commitments that hold whether or not anyone is watching, or filming.
Grassroots First
Policy shaped by the people who live with its consequences, starting at ward level.
Results, Not Rhetoric
Judged on classrooms completed and clinics staffed, not speeches delivered.
Unity
One agenda for all seven local government areas of Edo North, regardless of ward or affiliation.

Testimonials From Supporters
I've volunteered for three campaigns in this district. This is the first one that actually gave us a monitoring role, not just a T-shirt.
I donated because the campaign publishes where the money goes. That's rare enough here that it changed my mind about giving at all.
As a young graduate here, the youth desk pledge is the only concrete plan I've heard from anyone running this cycle.
